What is the Heights Coalition? Residents, organizations and businesses in the Nutbush, Mitchell, Highland and Brinkley Heights neighborhoods. We work together for the benefit of our community.
What do you do?
- Monthly Meetings: We discuss what each member is currently doing in the community and how we can help each other. We also talk about some of the challenges our community faces and make plans to address them. You are welcome to attend, just check the calendar for the next one.
- Community Events: So far the Coalition has sponsored a Back to School Party for Treadwell, met with the Tillman Police Precinct and Councilman Strickland concerning blight and crime, hosted a Fourth of July Party in the Given Garden, and we are currently planning a Spring Clean and BBQ!
I care about the Heights and want to be involved? Please come to our next meeting or contact us.
Who runs the blog? Currently, Anna Terry and Allison Eddins manage the blog through the Building Neighborhood Capacities Program. This is an 18 month process to generate better communication, opportunities for involvement, and a plan (of resident input) for revitalization in our community.
