While we are all sad to see our former Site Director (and soon-to-be neighbor!) Anna Terry move on, we are happy to announce that the position has been filled by a resident, Heights Coalition member, and neighbor: Jared Myers!
[Second from the right]
Jared grew up in Memphis and attended White Station High School as well as the University of Memphis. After completing graduate school in Philadelphia, PA studying Urban Studies/Community Development at Eastern University, Jared returned to Memphis to accept a role as Recreation Coordinator at Streets Ministries in Graham Heights. In June of 2012, Jared and his wife Erin were married at Streets on Graham and moved into the Graham Heights neighborhood. Erin is a teacher at Kingsbury Elementary School. Erin and Jared are members of Christ Community Church. In his free time, Jared enjoys cooking, running, and reading about global/social justice issues. In his new role as the site director for the Building Neighborhood Capacity Program, Jared hopes to continue the implementation of the neighborhood’s strategic plan, form new relationships with community residents, and seeks to grow the capacity of the Heights Coalition.
