Last week, the Heights Coalition decided to forgo its usual monthly meeting to do something a little crazy. Instead of a sitting to discuss issues and strategies, we thought it might be nice to hang out and enjoy one another’s company. Thus, the Height’s Christmas party was born, and it did not disappoint. It was a great time with great people, good food, and some amazing music. The neighborhood came out as did many who serve, worship, and/or work in the neighborhood–all of whom talked, joked, mingled, and, well…were merry. Originally there was supposed to be some friendly, competetive Karaoke among neighbors but to the dismay of many (and happiness of some) there were some technological issues that made that not possible. But things worked out for the best, as the band, “The Favors”, secretly infiltrated the party somehow, only to get the party truly rocking. It was a great night. Definitely the Best (“Meeting”/) Party of the Season.
